Monday December 14, 2015 marked the annual Operation Santa Claus celebration at the Aquarius Club. Hosted by Central Presbyterian Church on Randolph Avenue in Huntsville, over 200 people with serious mental illness gathered to celebrate the holidays and receive gifts fro
m several local charitable groups. Susan Smith, OSC Coordinator, assisted Santa in distributing gifts and Schlotzsky’s Deli on South Memorial Parkway provided lunch and everyone enjoyed spending time with friends. A special thanks goes out to several groups who donated gifts, money, time, and talent to make Operation Santa Claus a success: Chestnut Grove United Methodist, Good Shepherd Catholic, Latham United Methodist, St. John the Baptist Catholic, St. Paul United Methodist, St. Thomas Episcopal, Trinity Presbyterian,Big Cove Homemakers, The Culture Club, and Grissom High School psychology classes.
