Job Title:           Acute Care Assistant Manager

 

Qualifications:

Licensed RN with at least 5 years nursing experience

Experience with Compliance and Performance Improvement

Experience preferred in Residential or Acute Setting

Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills

Excellent Organizational skills to include time management

 

Synopsis of Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, Local, DMH and Center regulations and standards of care
  • Perform monthly medical record reviews to ensure accuracy of documentation
  • Assist Acute Care Director in completing after action reviews of seclusion/restraint, medication errors and incident reports to identify trends and implement training as needed
  • Maintain seclusion/restraint log and coordinate with Medical Records to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Assist Acute Care Director in providing supervision and training to staff
  • Provide direct oversight of Acute Care nursing staff, including professional development, performance evaluations, medical guidance, timeclock management, coverage of nurse shifts, oversight of compliance with agency training and CEUs for licensure
  • Assist Acute Care Director in recruitment and interviewing of nursing staff
  • Assist in coordinating placements, intakes, discharges with treatment team
  • Attend Treatment Team Meetings and provide input on client needs
  • Perform crisis intervention and resolution as necessary
  • Assist Acute Care Director in identifying trends in client readmits to improve discharge process
  • Attend monthly Leadership, PIC and Staff Meetings
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation into the Electronic Medical Record
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies regarding clients
  • Present to psychiatrist a client’s status or medical needs as necessary
  • Provide clinical and/or medical consultation as requested
