Qualifications:
Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field, Prefer Experience with Children/Adolescents
Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Reliable Transportation
Ability to type
Excellent Organizational skills to include suspense/time frame management

Synopsis of Duties:
Perform mental health counseling services in an In-School Counseling Program within the school systems Cullman County to reduce barriers in obtaining these services because of travel, time of day, etc.
Perform crisis intervention and resolution as necessary
Perform assessments, intakes, transfers and discharges on clients
Ensure CANS Assessments and re-assessments are done timely and shared with the client and family. Utilizing the CANS Assessment as a treatment plan tool
Manage client caseload, follow up with clients & guardians
Ensure client participation by developing the treatment plan in session
Provide reports / documentation by established deadlines
Complete documentation in Avatar (Electronic Medical Record) daily
Assist school personnel, parents with community referral sources
Monitor client’s progress toward goals
Obtain release forms from parents, adhere to confidentiality standards
Document information per standards in electronic client chart, i.e. Treatment Plan, Progress Notes, referrals, etc. in a timely & accurate manner.
Maintain billable service and productivity standards of 100 billable hours per month
Plan, manage and direct the caseload, ensuring all services are provided on the treatment plan
Provide proper information to others associated with the case to provide proper case continuity
Attend required training, staff meetings, follow established policies and procedures, embody WellStone’s 3 C’s: Caring, Committed and Can-Do
Other duties as assigned
